PC 2020-0797 Minimizing the Risk of Exposure to COVID-19 in Canada Order – Mandatory Isolation, No. 6

This Order has effect for the period beginning at 23:59:59 p.m. EDT on October 7, 2020 and ending at 23:59:59 p.m. EDT on October 31, 2020. Repealed by PC 2021-0840.

Overview:

This order is to (1) support Canada’s continued focus on reducing the introduction and further spread of COVID-19 by decreasing the risk of importing cases from outside the country; (2) continue applying stringent measures to reduce the spread by persons who have reasonable grounds to suspect they have COVID-19, if they have signs and symptoms of COVID-19, or if they know they have COVID-19 on arrival at the border; (3) permit asymptomatic entrants to temporarily leave Covid Prevention Measures>Quarantine on compassionate grounds; (4) clarify that existing exemptions granted by the Chief Public Health Officer (CPHO) apply only if the person complied with any condition imposed on them by the CPHO; (5) replace the use of “minor” with “dependent child”; and (6) make grammatical changes for clarity.
