PC2022-0321 Minimizing the Risk of Exposure to COVID-19 in Canada Order – Quarantine, Isolation and Other Obligations

Overview:

This order is to (1) support Canada’s continued focus on reducing the introduction and further spread of COVID-19 by decreasing the risk of importing cases from outside the country; (2) exempt fully vaccinated travellers from pre-arrival COVID-19 testing as of April 1, 2022; (3) exempt unvaccinated children who are under 12 accompanied by a fully vaccinated parent/guardian from pre-arrival COVID-19 testing, as of April 25, 2022; (4) subject unvaccinated children aged between 5 and 12 accompanied by a fully vaccinated parent/guardian to mandatory random testing, as of April 1, 2022; (5) exempt cruise ship travellers who, after disembarking, enter Canada by air or land as part of a cruise-related activity from on-arrival testing, as of April 1, 2022; (6) require symptomatic or COVID-19 positive foreign national cruise ship passengers who are permitted to disembark to continue their isolation period, as of April 1, 2022; and (7) ease post-arrival requirements for fully vaccinated travellers, as of April 25, 2022.
