Changes to the pre-removal risk assessment for Ethiopia

Overview:

Individuals from Ethiopia may now be eligible to apply for a pre‑removal risk assessment (PRRA) if they received a final negative decision from the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada or the Federal Court, or a final PRRA decision from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada from December 17, 2020, to December 16, 2021. Before removing them from Canada, the Canada Border Services Agency will advise eligible individuals from Ethiopia that they can apply for a PRRA.
