Changes to the pre-removal risk assessment for Myanmar

Overview:

Individuals from Myanmar may now be eligible to apply for a pre-removal risk assessment (PRRA) if they received a final negative decision from the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada or the Federal Court, or a final PRRA decision from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada , on or between May 8, 2020, and May 7, 2021. Before removing them from Canada, the Canada Border Services Agency will notify eligible individuals from Myanmar that they may apply for a PRRA.
