Changes to the pre-removal risk assessment for Nicaragua

Overview:

Individuals from Nicaragua may now be eligible to apply for a pre-removal risk assessment (PRRA) if they received a final negative decision from the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada or the Federal Court, or a final PRRA decision from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada from October 30, 2020, to October 29, 2021. Before removing them from Canada, the Canada Border Services Agency will advise eligible individuals from Nicaragua that they can apply for a PRRA.
