PC 2022-0178 Minimizing the Risk of Exposure to COVID-19 in Canada Order – Quarantine, Isolation and Other Obligations

This Order comes into force at 00:01:00 Eastern Standard Time on February 28, 2022 and ceases to have effect at 23:59:59 Eastern Daylight Time on March 31, 2022. Repealed by PC2022-0321.

Overview:

This order is to (1) support Canada’s continued focus on reducing the introduction and further spread of COVID-19 by decreasing the risk of importing cases from outside the country; (2) permit the option of presenting a negative antigen test in order to meet applicable pre-arrival testing requirements; (3) require fully vaccinated asylum claimants without a valid pre-arrival test to undergo testing and Covid Prevention Measures>Quarantine until the receipt of a negative test or the expiry of the Covid Prevention Measures>Quarantine period; (4) remove certain conditions for unvaccinated children under 12 entering Canada with a fully vaccinated parent or guardian; and (5) extend the duration of the measures until March 31, 2022.
